## Description

The International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (IFSBH) is a global federation connecting more than 100 national associations across Africa, Australia, the Americas, Asia and Europe. It works to advance the rights, health and inclusion of people born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, while supporting prevention of neural tube defects and hydrocephalus. Its vision is a society that guarantees human rights and celebrates the contributions of people with these conditions in every area of life.

IFSBH brings together member organisations and community advocates through international solidarity, community building, awareness campaigns, events and conferences. Its work includes advocating for affordable, multidisciplinary healthcare; promoting dignity, access to essential services and full participation; and strengthening national associations’ capacity to represent their communities. The federation also organises World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day, shares publications, newsletters and lived-experience stories, and provides opportunities for members and the public to get involved through events, training, membership and donations.
