## Description

IFIAD, the Irish Forum for International Agricultural Development, is an Ireland-based organisation that brings together the country’s agri-food expertise to help combat poverty in developing countries. Its vision is to improve the livelihoods of people living in poverty through initiatives that support resilient, equitable and sustainable agriculture, food and nutrition security. IFIAD connects members and partners across Ireland’s agricultural, academic, government and development sectors, including organisations such as Irish Aid, Teagasc, universities and international development charities.

Rather than offering commercial products, IFIAD provides a platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing and advocacy. Its activities include an annual conference, member partnerships, research webinars, and access to policy materials, case studies and research resources. The organisation also shares news and information about issues such as urban food systems, agricultural trade, and cooperation between health and agriculture. Through its network, events and resources, IFIAD works to apply Irish agri-food knowledge to international development challenges. The organisation is based in Dublin and invites people to join its network and follow its work through news and updates.
