## Description

Instituto Fraternal de Laborterapia (IFL) is a Brazilian organization that has supported people recovering from alcohol and other drug dependencies since 1968. Its mission is to promote prevention and guidance, helping individuals and families find a path to a new beginning. Services are offered free of charge through support meetings and, when needed, residential treatment.

At its São Paulo headquarters, IFL provides intake and guidance, outpatient support, recovery meetings, relapse-prevention planning, Reiki, yoga and meditation, and courses on preventing and addressing substance-related problems. It also trains volunteers through a free course taught by doctors, psychologists, therapists and social workers.

In partnership with the Community of Mutual Support in Juquitiba, IFL offers temporary stays of about three months to support physical and emotional recovery. Social beds are available at no cost, alongside placements with discounted expenses. IFL’s approach emphasizes ethical conduct, commitment, social responsibility, respect and innovation, and welcomes volunteers and donations to help sustain its work.
