## Description

The Instituto Goiano de Agricultura (IGA) is an agricultural research and services institute based in Montividiu, Goiás, Brazil. It supports producers of soybeans, corn, cotton, and beans, as well as companies that develop or commercialize agricultural technologies. Its work includes scientific and technical studies, field trials, and validation and transfer of technologies to help guide research across crops, production environments, and areas of expertise.

IGA offers services in entomology and weed management, including agronomic efficacy and practicality trials for chemical and biological insecticides. Its soil and crop science services include genotype performance testing, seed-lot purity testing, and fertilizer efficacy studies. In plant pathology and nematology, the institute conducts studies involving fungicides and nematicides. It also provides access to dryland and irrigated agricultural and experimental areas, along with pesticide storage facilities.

Through its Biofactories project, IGA promotes the use of beneficial microorganisms for more sustainable cotton production. Its company partnership program enables businesses to participate in research and variety trials, present innovations at IGA field tours, and commission technology-development services.
