## Description

Ihmeinen is a midwife-led doula service based in Pirkanmaa, Finland, founded by Marika to offer families personal, continuous support through pregnancy, birth and the early months with a baby. Drawing on her midwifery expertise, Marika provides birth doula support, helping parents prepare for labour, discuss birth preferences and feel supported before, during and after delivery. Her approach combines professional knowledge with calm, compassionate presence and practical, non-medical comfort measures. Birth doula services are available within roughly a two-hour drive of Tampere, including hospitals in several nearby cities.

Ihmeinen also offers TENS device rental and guidance, breastfeeding support and post-birth conversations. Reflexology-based massage is available to encourage relaxation and support the body from pregnancy week 39, or earlier for medical reasons. For babies aged two weeks and older, gentle reflexology-based massage may help address concerns such as tummy discomfort, sleep difficulties, tension, crying and restlessness. Sessions are tailored to the baby’s wellbeing, with a course of three to five visits suggested when appropriate.
