## Description

The Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides equestrian competition for college and university students across the United States and Canada. Its mission is to make participation accessible to riders of all experience levels, genders, races, sexual orientations, and financial circumstances, while promoting sportsmanship, horsemanship, and academic excellence. With close to 9,000 members, IHSA brings together a diverse community of student riders, coaches, schools, and horses.

The association supports students and collegiate programs with resources to start or join an IHSA team, membership information, competition rules, and guidance for coaches and show hosts. Its events include zone championships, semi-finals, and a national championship. IHSA also offers scholarships, academic awards, and special awards, and shares news, member and horse profiles, and information about riding in college. Additional resources include member benefits, a photography and social media guide, and a shop. Through its programs and services, IHSA helps students pursue competitive riding and build lasting connections within the college equestrian community.
