## Description

The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of South Carolina (IIABSC) is a professional association supporting independent insurance agents across the state. It connects members with resources, education, advocacy, business services, and opportunities to build relationships within the insurance industry. Agencies can access membership options, including agency membership, corporate associate membership, and partnerships through the Palmetto Partners program.

IIABSC offers professional development for agents and agency staff, with education calendars, continuing education, training programs, webcasts, and conferences. Its events include an annual convention, young agents gatherings, women’s conferences, golf tournaments, and local networking opportunities. Members can also explore market access for specialty and hard-to-find coverage, marketing and referral solutions, technology resources, hiring support, and tools for agency operations. The association provides information on errors and omissions programs and retirement resources, and helps members address business concerns through advocacy with legislators and state agencies. Its Young Agents Program supports insurance professionals aged 40 and younger. IIABSC also operates a foundation and shares industry news, reports, and practical resources for South Carolina agencies.
