IID, the Institute of Informatics and Development, is a renowned public policy institute dedicated to fostering informed public participation in the public policy process. As a nonprofit organization registered under the Companies Act 1994 in Bangladesh, IID is committed to realizing its vision of creating an informed, inclusive, and democratic society. Through our programs and events, we engage on all four combinations represented by the four quadrants, ensuring a comprehensive advocacy strategy. IID actively influences policymakers through programs like media briefings, advocacy campaigns, media reporting, and Policy Forums to bring attention to issues of public interest. We also offer critical engagement in a non-threatening manner through programs like Policy Breakfasts, where discussions abide by the Chatham House rules. In collaboration with CSOs and the government, we forge partnerships to make a positive impact on governance and development. Our project evaluations, capacity building initiatives, and program supports aid policymakers in achieving national development goals. IID is involved in various thematic areas, including Education & Skills, Democracy & Pluralism, Economy & Budget, ICT for Development, as well as strategic areas like Health Policy and Climate Change.
