## Description

Instituto Iberoamericano de Derecho Marítimo (IIDM) is a non-profit, Ibero-American non-governmental organization that focuses on promoting the dissemination, unification, and modernization of Maritime Law. Established in 1985, IIDM encompasses Ibero-American countries and also includes affiliated countries like Germany, Canada, the United States, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Our institution is dedicated to advancing the study, research, and development of maritime law, as well as supporting professional growth, knowledge acquisition, and the creation of professional networks and collaborations. As part of our commitment, we provide our members with the Ibero-American Model Law of Maritime Law, a comprehensive text that has been developed over 25 years by the experts at IIDM. This model law is made available for review and comment before being presented for approval at the General Assembly. Join us in our mission to strengthen and modernize maritime law.
