## Description

Ingrid Brakenhoff-van Kleef, known as “De Trouwmevrouw,” is an independent wedding celebrant and Buitengewoon Ambtenaar van de Burgerlijke Stand who creates warm, personal ceremonies for couples. She combines humor with sincere and moving moments, shaping each ceremony around the couple’s story and the atmosphere they want for their wedding day. Her process begins with a relaxed, no-obligation introduction to see whether there is a personal connection. She then learns about the couple through conversations together and individually, and may also speak with parents, witnesses, friends and family to gather stories and messages. Children can be included too, with personal touches such as a children’s certificate. Ingrid uses these contributions to craft a distinctive ceremony that gives loved ones a meaningful role, welcomes special guests in their own language when appropriate, and balances laughter with emotion. She offers guidance and practical advice during preparations, helping couples feel comfortable and confident. Her service is focused on creating a memorable, authentic wedding ceremony, followed by a check-in after the celebration to hear how the day went and how the couple felt about her work.
