About
Description
The Immigrant Learning Center is a non-profit organization that has been giving immigrants a voice since 1992. Through their various programs and initiatives, they aim to help immigrants and refugees in the Greater Boston area become successful workers, parents, and community members. The center offers free, year-round ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes to help adult immigrants and refugees learn English and improve their language skills.
Additionally, they have a Public Education Institute that informs Americans about immigrants and immigration in the United States, providing valuable insights and dispelling misconceptions. In collaboration with George Mason University, The Immigrant Learning Center also conducts research through their Institute for Immigration Research. This research focuses on the economic contributions of immigrants, shedding light on their impact on society.
The center is committed to the safety of their students, staff, and community, and currently offers most classes in-person while adhering to COVID-19 safety practices. To support their mission and learn more about their programs and events, visit The Immigrant Learning Center in Malden, MA
