## Description

The Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) is a prominent educational institution established in Rwanda to enhance the skills of legal professionals in response to the country's judicial reforms initiated in 2004. Located in Nyanza District, ILPD has developed a reputation for its high-quality training programs, which include two major postgraduate diplomas: the Diploma in Legal Practice for judges, prosecutors, and lawyers, and the Diploma in Legislative Drafting for government legal drafters.

To ensure continuous professional growth, ILPD also offers a diverse range of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses, led by both local and international legal experts. With an aim to become a collaborative hub for legal professionals across Africa, ILPD fosters connections among different legal traditions and actively participates in organizations focused on judicial training. Under the leadership of Dr. Aimé Muyoboke Karimunda, ILPD continues to attract attention from an array of African nations, positioning itself as a key player in legal education and research within the continent.
