# Sorrisodibright - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `ilsorrisodibright.org` ## Description Il Sorriso di Bright ODV is an Italian volunteer organization dedicated to bringing hope and opportunity to children in Ghana and Benin. Its mission combines educational, healthcare and everyday support, working alongside children in the communities where they grow and helping them feel cared for and able to imagine a future. The organization began its activities in 2010 and was established as Il Sorriso di Bright ODV in 2019. Its projects include “Mamy Helen’s Dream,” a support program for Providence Home orphanage in Aflao, Ghana, and plans for a new reception home, with the first phase of work beginning in 2025. Healthcare initiatives have provided a portable obstetric ultrasound scanner to a dispensary in Ouidah, Benin, to support monitoring of high-risk pregnancies, and a portable dental unit for an infant orphanage run by the Missionary Sisters of Notre Dame des Apôtres. The organization has also donated a motorized cargo tricycle to help transport children to school.
