## Description

IMA Martial Arts is a martial arts school based in Arnold, with satellite classes in Bingham, Bramcote, Heanor, Ilkeston and Kimberley. Its curriculum combines Wado-Ryu Karate and kickboxing, incorporating elements of Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to introduce students to a range of martial arts styles. The school offers training for children from age three, teenagers, adults and families, with classes scheduled at venues across its locations.

Self-defence is a central focus of IMA’s training. Students learn skills intended to help them stay safe, build confidence, de-escalate difficult situations and defend themselves or others when necessary. Alongside regular classes, optional seminars held during the year give students the chance to explore specialist subjects, including Bo Staff, Escrima, Nunchaku and First Aid.

IMA Martial Arts is led by school owner and lead instructor Mykl, alongside lead instructor Rach. The school offers a free one-to-one trial lesson and provides its timetable, calendar and policy information online. It states that it is registered and licensed with BMABA.
