## Description

Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA) is an Odisha-based company established in 1961, with operations spanning ferro alloy production, mining and power. It is India’s largest producer of value-added ferrochrome and a trusted partner to stainless steel producers worldwide. IMFA makes ferrochrome through an integrated operating model that includes captive chrome ore mining and captive power generation, supporting cost-effective production. Its business portfolio also includes ethanol and low-density aggregate.

Sustainability is embedded in the company’s decision-making, with an emphasis on long-term environmental and financial responsibility. Beyond its industrial operations, IMFA supports community development through IMPaCT, which creates opportunities in culture and sports, and the Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF), its independent social development arm. BIPF works in education, healthcare and livelihoods to help communities build self-reliance. IMFA also highlights career opportunities and the role of its employees in driving innovation, growth and excellence. With a legacy spanning more than six decades, the company brings together resource-based production, community initiatives and a focus on responsible operations.
