# Imkerei Oberlausitz - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `imkerei-oberlausitz.de` ## Description Imkerei Oberlausitz is a beekeeping and Buckfast queen-breeding business based in Saxony, run by Steffen Braun, a registered breeder with the Gemeinschaft der europäischen Buckfastimker (GdeB). Its work focuses on selecting Buckfast bees for gentleness, vitality, reduced swarming and traits associated with Varroa tolerance. The breeder also participates in regional beekeeping and Varroa-resistance initiatives. The business offers unbred and naturally mated Buckfast F1 queens, as well as Buckfast production colonies. Queens are supplied in introduction cages with attendant bees and food; mated queens are marked with the relevant year’s colour. Depending on the order, buyers can receive a health certificate and a GdeB pedigree or ancestry record. Queen shipments are offered with DHL Express tracking, while production colonies are not shipped. The breeder describes a management approach emphasizing bee health, careful selection, biotechnical Varroa control and minimal disturbance. Customers are advised that resistance-related traits may not be reliably inherited and that regular Varroa monitoring, with treatment when needed, remains essential. ## Industries - 🏭 Heavy Industry and Engineering - 🐶 Pets and Animals - 🐶 Animals _(under Pets and Animals)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/100089157400256) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/imkerei_oberlausitz) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG, SVG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idDkFyjXom/w/820/h/283/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793021315204) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idDkFyjXom/w/100/h/100/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793021315581) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Carrot Orange | #f4942c | accent | | Potters Clay | #976835 | dark | | Bombay | #b3b4b6 | light | ## Fonts - Verdana — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
