## Description

The Immune Tolerance Network (ITN) is a clinical research organization focused on advancing the use of immune tolerance in medicine. Sponsored by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, ITN develops, funds, and conducts clinical trials investigating ways to modify immune responses. Its work spans autoimmune diseases, allergy and asthma, transplantation, and type 1 diabetes. The network aims to identify therapies that can bring lasting remission in autoimmune disease, provide durable desensitization to allergens, and help transplanted organs be accepted without lifelong immunosuppression. ITN supports researchers through clinical trial resources, core facilities, laboratory protocols, proposals, publications, and strategic plans. Its TrialShare platform provides access to research data, analyses, and clinical specimens. The network also shares trial information and enrollment opportunities for patients. Featured studies investigate treatments for conditions including primary membranous nephropathy, multiple sclerosis, and lupus nephritis. Through research, collaboration, and clinical studies, ITN seeks to move immune tolerance discoveries toward practical patient care.
