## Description

Improvised Music Company (IMC) is an Irish music promoter focused on jazz and improvised music, while also serving as a resource and advocate for musicians in Ireland. It connects audiences with artists through concerts, festivals and other events, and shares news, listings and listening recommendations to help people discover the Irish jazz scene. For musicians, IMC offers resources, opportunities and development programmes, including initiatives that support artist development and promote Irish performers. Its Navigator residencies give artists space to create and reflect, with published interviews and accounts documenting their processes. IMC also curates and produces events, develops projects with partners, and works with organisations through collaborations and corporate sponsorship. The company invites the public to get involved through volunteering, internships, advocacy and donations, which help support artists and strengthen music in Ireland. Its website brings together event information, articles, interviews and practical resources, as well as a newsletter for updates on Irish jazz. Through these activities, IMC supports both the creation of new work and greater access to live music.
