## Description

Including Samuel is an award-winning documentary film directed by photojournalist Dan Habib, which poignantly explores the theme of inclusion for individuals with disabilities. The film chronicles Habib’s personal journey with his son Samuel, who has cerebral palsy, capturing the family's challenges and triumphs while striving to include him in all aspects of life. Over four years, Habib beautifully portrays not only his family's story but also those of four other families facing similar circumstances, highlighting cultural and systemic barriers to inclusion.

Including Samuel has resonated widely, screening at universities, national conferences, and independent theaters across the United States, and receiving acclaim from major media outlets like NPR and The Washington Post. The film has won multiple awards, including recognition at international film festivals, and continues its mission through The Including Samuel Project, a non-profit initiative that promotes inclusive education and community engagement. Donations to the project support vital curriculum and outreach efforts, making a lasting impact towards greater inclusivity for all.
