## Description

Gruppo Incontro is an Italian social cooperative and nonprofit established in November 2005, continuing the thirty-year experience of the Associazione Genitori Comunità Incontro in Pistoia. As a type A social cooperative, it manages social, health and educational services, working in agreement with the local health authority on residential and semi-residential rehabilitation programmes. Its approach centres on welcoming people seeking help and building an open, inclusive and supportive community that values individual needs and personal stories.

The cooperative supports people and families across a broad range of needs, including drug and alcohol addiction, gambling disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Its services also address mental health, disability, support for minors, migrant reception, social inclusion and housing. Programmes include therapeutic and residential communities, supported living, psychological and psychotherapeutic support, assessment and guidance, and educational and community-based initiatives. Gruppo Incontro also develops projects in areas such as intercultural inclusion, violence prevention and social housing. It emphasizes individualized pathways, professional expertise and ongoing staff development to promote health, social participation and quality of life.
