IL Charter Schools, part of the Illinois Network of Charter Schools (INCS), is dedicated to transforming lives and communities through the establishment of high-quality charter public schools in Illinois. As the voice of charter schools in the state, INCS advocates for legislation, provides support to strengthen charter schools, and influences education policy for the benefit of all public school students. From college prep programs and STEM-focused curricula to integrated arts education, each charter public school is designed to meet the individual needs and interests of students. Charter schools in Illinois are open to all and do not have testing requirements or tuition fees. They welcome students of all backgrounds, serving 92% students of color and 87% students who receive free or reduced lunch.

Currently, there are 141 charter school campuses in Illinois, with 128 of them located in Chicago. INCS also provides resources for families to navigate the education system in Illinois and offers membership services for businesses and individuals interested in connecting with charter schools.
