The Indiana State Museum is a world-class institution that showcases the rich history of Indiana through unique exhibits and hands-on experiences. Located in downtown Indianapolis, the museum is constructed entirely from Indiana materials, making it a work of art in itself. Spanning three floors, it tells the story of the Hoosier state and features a year-round calendar of exhibits exploring Indiana art, science, and culture.

In addition to the central museum, the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites (ISMHS) is a statewide museum system with 12 locations, including historic sites like Angel Mounds and Levi & Catharine Coffin State Historic Sites. Visitors are able to engage with the past and connect it to the present, carrying their newfound knowledge and experiences with them long after their visits end.
