## Description

The Association for Industrial Archaeology (AIA), established in 1973, is dedicated to promoting and preserving the significance of industrial heritage. Our mission is to share our expertise in accessible ways, championing the value of industrial archaeology through active engagement with national and international bodies, including the UK government. We organize and support a variety of events, such as Annual Conferences, East-West Workshops, and lectures to foster the exchange of knowledge within our community.

In addition, the AIA publishes several resources, including the "Industrial Archaeology Review" and regional gazetteers, to facilitate learning and research. Our dedication to restoration is evident through our grant schemes, which aim to preserve valuable industrial heritage assets. We also celebrate excellence within the field with awards that recognize outstanding contributions to industrial archaeology. Join us in our mission to give the past a future, and help advocate for the recognition of industrial heritage in planning and policy decisions.
