## Description

Industry Ventures, founded in 2000, is a venture capital investment platform focused on providing flexible capital across the venture lifecycle. It manages more than $8 billion on behalf of its limited partners and reports a track record spanning over 25 years, with offices in San Francisco, Washington, London, and Boston. Its complementary strategies offer investment exposure from pre-seed through pre-IPO and support fund managers, entrepreneurs, and venture-backed companies at different stages.

At the seed and early stage, Industry Ventures backs small and emerging venture managers. Its mid-stage strategy invests alongside established general partner relationships in high-growth companies. In late-stage markets, the firm acquires venture assets to provide liquidity to shareholders and fund investors. Its Tech Buyout strategy helps profitable, venture-backed software companies transition to buyout ownership. The firm also serves fund managers throughout a fund’s life, drawing on its network and investment platform.

Effective January 2, 2026, Industry Ventures was acquired by Goldman Sachs and joined the firm’s External Investing Group.
