The Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to challenging mainstream economics and advancing ideas that better serve society. Established in 2009 in response to the financial crisis, INET conducts and supports research, hosts forums for exchanging ideas, develops curricula, and fosters a global community of young scholars. INET believes that the current economic system suffers from blind spots that have hindered its effectiveness and failed society. They advocate for a new vision of the economy that prioritizes serving society over corporate interests.
