## Description

Os Ratinhos – Colégio Infantil is a private childcare and education centre in Barca, Maia, Portugal, serving children from three months of age. Its programmes include a nursery with infant care, preschool, and a study room for primary-school pupils. Licensed by Portugal’s Ministry of Education and Social Security, the centre aims to work in partnership with families to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children learn through discovery, play and shared experiences.

The school operates year-round, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with specified holiday closures. Included curricular activities comprise early English and computing for preschoolers, psychomotor development for nursery and preschool children, and yoga in the nursery. Optional activities include swimming, preschool yoga, seasonal beach outings for children aged two and over, and family workshops. The centre prepares meals on site using a weekly menu and a preventive food-safety system. It also lists access to clinical psychology, speech therapy and occupational therapy services, alongside a swimming partnership.
