## Description

Ingmarsspelen is a summer theatre and cultural event held in Nås, Dalarna, beside the Västerdal River. Each year, it welcomes audiences to performances inspired by the history of the people who emigrated from Nås to Jerusalem, a story that also connects with the work of Swedish author Selma Lagerlöf. The programme includes staged performances, concerts and opportunities to explore local history through exhibitions and seminars. Past and planned activities have featured the American Colony Photographers exhibition, publications about the Jerusalem emigrants, and talks related to the community’s history. Visitors can also find information about guided tours, art and crafts, places to stay and eat, and a shop. Tickets are available for the performances, with dates and release information announced on the organisation’s website. Ingmarsspelen brings theatre, music, historical interpretation and community heritage together in a distinctive setting in Nås. The organisation also shares information in English and provides updates through its website and social media channels.
