## Description

Initiative Teilen im Cusanuswerk e.V. is a nonprofit, development-focused association founded in 1984 by scholarship recipients of the Cusanuswerk, the Catholic scholarship foundation. The organization works to promote fairer living conditions by sharing the intellectual and material support its members receive. Its main activity is funding small, practical projects around the world, particularly in education, environmental protection, social support, and medical care. Close personal contact and ongoing exchange with people involved in the supported projects are central to its approach.

Alongside project funding, Initiative Teilen offers educational activities that bring development-related issues into public discussion. Members meet annually at a conference focused on a selected topic, and the association also organizes events and activities at Cusanuswerk academies and university locations. Supporters can contribute through membership, donations, and project sponsorships. The organization also shares news and updates through newsletters and published reports. Its seasonal Advent calendar presents Christmas traditions from the countries where supported projects operate, with all proceeds donated to those projects.
