## Description

Inkygirl is Debbie Ridpath Ohi’s resource site for people who write and illustrate books for children and young adults. Created by Ohi, who reads, writes, and illustrates for young people, the site brings together practical guidance, creative inspiration, and insight into the kidlit community. Its archives feature picture-book creation resources, advice for young writers and illustrators, interviews with authors and artists, comics, book reviews, writing and publishing industry surveys, and writing challenges encouraging daily goals of 250, 500, or 1,000 words. Visitors can also explore guidance on using Twitter professionally, presentations, contests, and print-ready materials for teachers, librarians, booksellers, and young readers. Inkygirl highlights books and creative projects through features such as BookADay posts and interviews, while its comics offer a distinctive, entertaining perspective on the craft and business of writing. The site reflects Ohi’s work as an illustrator, including her illustration of I’m Bored by Michael Ian Black. In 2021, Inkygirl’s posts moved to DebbieOhi.com, where readers can continue exploring her art, writing, and resources.
