## Description

The studio serves museums, heritage organisations, auction houses, galleries, interior designers, and private clients. Its work follows established restoration ethics and combines conservation methods with specialist decorative skills.

Restoration services include assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and conservation of gilding, japanning, lacquer, gilt bronze, polychromy, and painted surfaces. Treatments may involve surface cleaning, removal of coatings, stabilisation of flaking paint, filling and retouching, re-gilding, reproducing missing elements, and repairing or cleaning antique chandeliers. The studio also specialises in verre églomisé and painting on wood, including marbling, graining, and decoupage.

Alongside conservation, inside-atelier creates bespoke decorative finishes and transforms furniture into distinctive pieces, drawing on historical designs and techniques to achieve rich, tactile surfaces. Projects are developed with clients through discussion, samples, and drawings, with collaboration from other designers and craftspeople where needed.
