## Description

InsightLA is a non-profit meditation community that provides high-quality mindfulness and compassion practices. With over 20 years of experience, InsightLA offers a wide range of classes, retreats, and special events for both beginners and experienced meditators. They are unique in their approach, offering evidence-based mindfulness training as well as traditional Buddhist teachings within the Vipassana or Insight tradition. One notable initiative is Insight in Action, their social action arm. This program partners with other non-profits and schools to provide free online mindfulness training to vulnerable populations, teachers, caregivers, and first responders. InsightLA is committed to making mindfulness practices accessible to all communities, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, religion, or body size. They have a firm policy that no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Whether you're looking to reduce stress, cultivate self-compassion, or find peace of mind, InsightLA offers a welcoming community where you can learn to live mindfully and discover inner calm.
