## Description

The Institut National du Cancer (INC) is a Luxembourg non-profit association founded in 2015 and recognised as being of public utility. Mandated by the Ministry of Health and Social Security, it brings together stakeholders across cancer care and helps coordinate national efforts in prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and end-of-life care. The INC works with healthcare professionals, public authorities, research organisations and international partners to improve how people affected by cancer are supported.

Its activities include developing and sharing care recommendations, labelling healthcare providers, encouraging research and promoting the exchange of knowledge and good practices. The institute also supports collaborative projects designed to strengthen cancer services and make patient care more coordinated. Current initiatives include the gradual development of a national lung cancer network and work to improve how cancer diagnoses are communicated. Through cancerinfo.lu, the INC aims to provide patients and their loved ones with clear, reliable information throughout the care journey.
