## Description

Internet Archaeology is a globally recognized brand that serves as a premier open access archaeology journal. With a strong focus on quality academic content, this non-profit organization explores the potential of digital publication by including various forms of media such as data, video, audio, images, visualizations, animations, and interactive mapping. As a peer-reviewed journal without borders, Internet Archaeology offers a platform for international archaeological research. Hosted by the Department of Archaeology at the University of York and digitally archived by the Archaeology Data Service, it upholds high standards in publishing best practices, preservation, and openness. Established in 1995, Internet Archaeology has been publishing online since 1996 and is managed and edited by Judith Winters, along with co-directors Prof. Julian Richards and Dr. Michael Heyworth. With a commitment to open access and the dissemination of archaeological research, Internet Archaeology aims to advance the understanding of our past and preserve it for future generations.
