## Description

The Integrative Modeling Platform (IMP) is a pioneering community-driven initiative focused on the comprehensive structural characterization of biomolecules, from small peptides to complex macromolecular assemblies. Recognizing the limitations of traditional experimental and computational methods, IMP promotes hybrid approaches that synthesize data from a variety of biochemical and biophysical techniques, including x-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, and electron microscopy. 

The platform formulates structure determination as an optimization challenge, requiring a representation of the biological assembly, a scoring function, and an optimization method. As a versatile tool, IMP facilitates the mixing of existing modeling components while allowing for easy integration of new functionalities.

By providing access to a wealth of resources and support, IMP aims to enhance the accuracy of structural characterizations and deepen our understanding of the dynamics of biomolecular assemblies.
