## Description

Interim, Inc. is a Monterey County nonprofit providing mental health services, supportive housing, and recovery-oriented programs for adults, particularly those living with serious mental illness. Founded in 1975, the organization was established to offer community-based alternatives to institutional care and help people move from homelessness or institutionalization toward independent living. Its mission is to provide services and affordable housing that support people in building productive, satisfying lives.

Interim offers a broad continuum of care, including affordable supportive housing, assertive community treatment, crisis residential services, intensive day treatment, dual recovery programs, and homeless outreach. Additional services include supported employment and education, peer-led wellness programs, social and recreational opportunities, wellness navigation, and community education and advocacy to reduce stigma. Programs use evidence-based approaches such as trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, and peer support.

Through integrated treatment, housing, and social support, Interim aims to promote recovery, dignity, and community participation.
