## Description

International Film Series at CU-Boulder is Boulder's first art-house film series, established in 1941. They offer a diverse selection of films, from premieres to restored 35mm classics, providing the Boulder community with a variety of genres and filmmakers. The IFS screens over 100 films a year, attracting an audience of over 20,000 people. Their main venue is Muenzinger Auditorium, with 400 seats, and their secondary venue is the Visual Arts Complex Auditorium, with 200 seats. Unlike most theaters, they do not show ads and have a focus on maintaining a quiet and distraction-free environment. Tickets are affordable, with general admission priced at $9, $7 for CU students and senior citizens. The IFS is committed to bringing award-winning filmmakers to campus, collaborating with film festivals, and providing access to nationally recognized special events. With their small but dedicated staff, they genuinely care about offering a shared and affordable cinematic experience for the community.
