## Description

Intesa is a Belgian nonprofit care organisation that supports adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. Its work is centred on providing tailored support and helping people build meaningful lives, with assistance shaped around individual needs, interests and abilities. For families seeking professional guidance as an adult child develops greater independence, Intesa offers several forms of care.

Its residential centres aim to provide a home for a broad range of adults with disabilities. Day centres offer opportunities to spend time in purposeful activities based on each person’s talents, expectations and interests. Intesa also provides ambulatory and mobile support, delivered either at a person’s home or at the service location. The frequency can range from once a month to twice a week, depending on the support required. The organisation also lists short-stay services and supported work among its offerings.

Based in Tongeren-Borgloon, Intesa vzw works with residents, clients and families, and welcomes donations to support its services. It also recruits care staff and offers opportunities for internships and volunteering.
