## Description

Intrapore is an environmental technology company specializing in in situ remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater. Founded in 2015 by geoscientists and remediation experts, the company is headquartered in Essen and serves projects across Europe. Its patented, particle-based approach injects tailored suspensions into affected areas, where microparticles bind or break down pollutants. This can reduce the need for excavation, pumping, and extensive construction, with remediation taking place directly underground.

Intrapore’s product range addresses a variety of contaminants. Intrasorp® immobilizes organic pollutants such as hydrocarbons, BTEX, and PAHs, while Aquaferrox® binds dissolved heavy metals and metalloids. CarboIron® supports the breakdown of halogenated compounds, and TrapOx® creates treatment zones for persistent pollutants. Intraplex® uses colloidally stabilized activated carbon to immobilize PFAS in groundwater. The company also offers Fluorolock®, a clay-based adsorbent designed to capture PFAS in unsaturated soil above the groundwater table.

Intrapore provides tailored technical solutions and consultation for remediation projects, as well as research and development collaboration. It reports more than 400 projects and promotes low-intervention, energy-saving remediation methods.
