## Description

Intrinsic Midwifery, led by endorsed midwife Fiona Wernke, provides personalised support for women and families throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Fiona brings more than 18 years of midwifery experience across hospital and home settings, offering continuity of care with the same midwife through key stages of the journey.

Services include antenatal care in the client’s home, with arrangements for birth at a local hospital, as well as support for planned home births and hospital births. Depending on the care pathway, support can include pregnancy appointments, early labour care at home, birth support and postnatal visits for up to seven weeks. Postnatal care is also available after hospital discharge to support parents and their newborn at home. One-to-one education sessions cover pregnancy, labour and birth, and planning for the postnatal period. Shared or additional care can be coordinated with a chosen hospital or obstetrician.

Fiona can arrange recommended pregnancy investigations, follow up results and refer clients to other healthcare practitioners when needed.
