## Description

The InVID project is a European research and innovation initiative focused on verifying online video and addressing disinformation. It develops a knowledge-verification platform designed to identify emerging stories and assess the reliability of newsworthy video files and material shared through social media. Its tools and services include the InVID Verification Plugin, Verification Application, Analytics Dashboard and Mobile Application, alongside other InVID technologies. These offerings support the examination of video content and provide ways to work with information circulating online. The project also shares its work through use cases, publications, presentations, datasets, deliverables, newsletters and public events. InVID’s activities highlight verification methods involving human, crowd and artificial intelligence, as reflected in its event programming and communications. The project was coordinated by Vasileios Mezaris, a senior researcher at the Information Technologies Institute of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas. InVID received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 687786.
