## Description

IÖB is an initiative that connects public-sector buyers with innovative businesses, helping bring new solutions into public procurement. Its services support both sides of this relationship: public authorities can access strategic advice and assistance with innovative procurement, while companies can find opportunities to present their solutions and respond to public-sector needs. IÖB also offers financial support for innovative procurement projects, according to the information provided on its website.

The initiative’s online platform features challenges from public organizations, inviting businesses to submit ideas and solutions. Recent examples focus on the safe use of AI agents in air traffic control, AI support during critical situations, climate management in museum buildings, and new approaches to learning in public administration. The site also shares examples of successful projects, news, events, and resources for its community.

IÖB fosters exchange through networking activities, an buyers’ network, and initiatives such as ECOVATION, which explores innovative and sustainable public procurement.
