The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide. Their mission is to provide technical advice, influence legislation and standards, and offer safety initiatives and training programs. IPAF is owned by its members, which include manufacturers, rental companies, distributors, contractors, and users.

IPAF members operate a majority of the MEWP rental fleet worldwide and manufacture about 85% of platforms on the market. By joining IPAF, members gain access to practical information, a growing portfolio of member services, and the opportunity to influence platform use regulations. A key benefit of membership is the ability to deliver IPAF's certified training program for platform operators.

More than 170,000 operators are trained annually through IPAF-approved training providers, earning the widely recognized PAL Card (Powered Access Licence). With over 800,000 valid PAL Cards in circulation, IPAF is a trusted authority for quality-assured training.
