## Description

The Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE), established in June 2006 and based in Beijing, is a nonprofit environmental research organization dedicated to promoting transparency and accountability in environmental governance. IPE focuses on gathering, organizing, and analyzing publicly available environmental data from governmental and corporate sources. Their efforts culminate in the development of the Blue Map platform and its associated app, which provide vital environmental information to support green procurement, green finance, and informed government decision-making.

Key initiatives include the Green Supply Chain program, which encourages large brands to focus on sustainable practices within their supply chains, and the Green Finance project, which leverages insights from listed companies and banks to elevate corporate environmental performances. Additionally, IPE offers comprehensive data services that assist nonprofit organizations, research institutions, and businesses in accessing high-quality environmental data. Through collaboration with various stakeholders, IPE aims to foster effective environmental management and pollution reduction across numerous industries and sectors.
