The Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) is a federal state research institution and a central centre for philosophical scholarship in Russia. Its researchers investigate a broad range of philosophical disciplines and related areas, bringing together academic research, education and public engagement. It also operates a scientific and educational centre, supports postgraduate study, and maintains dissertation councils. Beyond research and publishing, the Institute provides expert services, develops international cooperation, and hosts scholarly events for researchers, students and the wider public. Its programme includes conferences, seminars, lectures, round tables and public science activities covering topics such as the history of philosophy, logic, culture, ethics, political thought, human values and contemporary challenges.
