Independence Place is a consumer-driven, community-based Center for Independent Living (CIL) located in Lexington, KY. Their primary goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live life to the fullest. They provide a range of services and programs that promote independence and community inclusion.

These include information and referral systems, individual advocacy, peer support and mentoring, independent living skills training, as well as transition and diversion services. The team at Independence Place is made up of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in people's lives. Megan Coleman serves as the Executive Director, bringing her experience as an Employment Specialist.

Erin Young and Ryan Guyder work as Employment Specialists, while Tabatha Johnson is the Supervisor for The Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Supported Employment. Angel Douglas and Sierra Miller are Independent Living Specialists, and Dylan Nichols is a Supported Employment Specialist with a lifelong advocacy for individuals who are blind and visually impaired.
