## Description

Inter Press Service (IPS) is a pioneering international communication institution founded in 1964, dedicated to amplifying the voices of marginalized communities across the Global South. Rooted in the belief that information is crucial for societal change, IPS strives to "give a voice to the voiceless," focusing on development, human rights, and environmental issues.

The organization operates through a three-fold strategy: providing comprehensive news and analyses that illuminate the effects of global events on underserved populations; building capacity by empowering journalists and civil society with training tailored to their unique contexts; and fostering networking opportunities that connect civil society, policymakers, and the public.

With a commitment to promoting dialogue around pressing global challenges such as poverty, climate change, and democracy, IPS has positioned itself as a vital news provider that highlights the narratives of unrepresented groups. Through its dedication to social justice, IPS not only informs its audience but also advocates for a more inclusive and equitable world.
