## Description

The Institut for Regenerative Development (IRD) is an institute advancing sustainability and regenerative design through research, education, consultancy, and practical project delivery. Working across disciplines and sectors, it brings together researchers, designers, policymakers, institutions, and communities to address challenges in the built environment and related natural systems. Its work aims to move beyond reducing harm, helping organisations develop projects, policies, and infrastructure that restore ecological and social wellbeing.

IRD provides applied research, strategy reports, consultancy, and advisory support for sustainable design, governance, planning, and investment. Its focus areas include climate-resilient design, circular construction, material reuse, environmental accountability, resource management, and ESG. Education and training offerings include CPD courses, workshops, and professional development in sustainable and biobased construction, regenerative agriculture and water systems, climate adaptation, leadership, and inclusive development. The institute also designs and prototypes solutions such as community infrastructure, adaptive housing, ecological restoration, and integrated water and energy networks. Through collaborative, evidence-led and place-based work, IRD supports equitable, low-carbon and resilient futures.
