## Description

Investigative Reporters and Editors Inc. (IRE) is a grassroots nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the quality of investigative journalism. Established as a platform for journalists globally to collaborate, IRE facilitates the sharing of story ideas, newsgathering techniques, and valuable news sources. The organization offers members access to an extensive Resource Center filled with thousands of reporting tipsheets and materials, alongside opportunities for professional development through conferences, workshops, and specialized training programs. Notably, IRE operates the National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting (NICAR) in partnership with the Missouri School of Journalism. Their training initiatives, including the annual AccessFest conference and workshops designed for student journalists, equip participants with the crucial skills needed for in-depth reporting. As IRE evolves to meet the changing landscape of journalism, they prioritize member feedback to shape future programs, ensuring that they remain a vital resource for journalists seeking to elevate their craft. Join IRE to leverage unique tools and support for your investigative reporting journey.
