# irishdeedsindex.net - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `irishdeedsindex.net` ## Description The Registry of Deeds Index Project is an invaluable resource dedicated to preserving and facilitating access to historical records in Dublin, Ireland. Founded to provide comprehensive finding aids for documents held at the Registry of Deeds, this project includes three key databases: the Main Index, the Grantors Index, and the Townland Index. Together, they comprise over 700,000 indexed entries, including townland and grantor transcriptions, allowing users to search genealogical records dating back to 1709. Volunteers play a crucial role in expanding the project's coverage, contributing transcriptions from memorial books and land transaction records. The project's initiative not only assists genealogists and researchers by making these records easier to navigate, but it also highlights the diverse history of land ownership and family ties within Ireland's socio-economic backdrop. With easy-to-use guides and a supportive community, the Registry of Deeds Index Project stands as a testament to collaborative efforts in preserving Ireland's rich legacy. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Ancestry and Genealogy _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ - 🗺 Reference Materials - 🗺 Public Records and Directories _(under Reference Materials)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/RegistryofDeedsIndexProjectIreland) ## Logos & icons - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idJLI9MS2A/w/1536/h/1536/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1746278890826) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Sea Green | #338833 | accent | | Camarone | #006401 | dark | | Tusk | #e3f6ce | light | ## Fonts - Arial — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
