## Description

Iris Unga is the youth-focused service of Iris Utvecklingscenter, a foundation- and employee-owned care provider founded in 1986. It supports children and young people experiencing psychosocial difficulties, including mental health challenges, anxiety, school absence or an unsafe family situation. Working on behalf of social services and psychiatric care, Iris Unga aims to help each young person build a safe, sustainable everyday life through coordinated, individually tailored support.

Its services include family homes, supported accommodation for people aged 16 and over, and outpatient care. Support may involve a stable home environment, help with studies or practical placements, meaningful leisure activities, and coordination with schools, healthcare providers and public authorities. Services can be combined where appropriate.

The team includes trained professionals such as social workers, behavioural scientists and treatment educators. Its approach is relationship-based, structured and informed by cognitive behavioural therapy, with clear goals, regular conversations and collaboration among the young person, family and practitioners.
